In Cary Tennis’ column today at Salon, he offers some advice to a woman spurned by a neighbor who no longer wishes to socialize over coffee in the morning. His advice is good and timely and hilarous. Here’s my favorite bit:
We go through pretending to be grown-up and untouched but we are just silly kids hoping for the ice-cream truck. It comes every day for a whole month in the summer and then one day it stops. What the fuck?
We’re such fragile beings, we humans.
