Damage control

by Heather on March 3, 2010

Chop chop.

At first we weren’t going to get much cut, but this morning we talked about it and I told her a short cut would be really cute.

Am I right?

While we were at the salon, our stylist uncovered a few more spots Autumn had trimmed with the scissors. One lock bounced up like an Alfalfa sprout as she combed Autumn’s hair and another spot was, for lack of a better word, buzzed. It ought to make for an interesting look as it grows out.

Autumn loves the cut. LOVES it. She couldn’t stop looking at herself in the mirror and is very anxious to show her friends at school tomorrow. After she was put to bed, she called out to us from her bedroom.

“We need to get some purple nail polish for my fingers and toes!”

She feels very pretty today.

Absolutely adorable. She looks so much more grown up. You can tell her I said so.

So cute, Heather! I think chopping at your own hair as a kid shows self-confidence. I myself never had the guts to do it – I can barely do it now at the age of 32!
