Just a seemingly common-ish trait. The holidays are hard on a lot of us. I don't pretend to know how to navigate them successfully, but I have a feeling that we would all do a lot better if we decided ahead of time to give up our expectations of what it <i>should be like and try to stay alert for the good parts, however fleeting and disguised they might be.
